After being in our current location since 1993, the Arise! Books and Resources Collective has come to the painful realization that we can no longer afford to operate in this space. Rather than letting the awful realities of capitalism tear us apart, we want to figure out a way to arise anew. A new form. A new location. A new way to continue serving and being part of the radical and progressive community in the Twin Cities.

Yeah, that's right...your favorite radical infoshop and bookstore is having a holiday sale! Not to celebrate the rampant commercialism of the holiday season, but cuz we gotta keep our doors open somehow. So we're gonna have fun doing it!

WHAT: Holiday sale and fundraiser--15% off everything in the store...20% off for Friends of Arise!

WHEN: Saturday, December 19 and Sunday, December 20, 11am–9pm.

It gets better, though! On the 19th, we're also selling home-made baked goods starting at 11am and live music starts at 5pm!

Recipes for Radicals & Atlas

Yes, 2010 Slingshot Organizers are finally here! $6 for the small ones, $12 for the large ones. Organize yourself and help support a rad collective from California! Come get them while they're here...they tend to go fast!

And while you're in the store, check out our latest publication, "Recipes for Radicals." This is a cookbook for food and actions to fuel our bodies and help us create the change we want to see. The recipes range from hummus to activist glue to vegan brunswick stew to dismantling rape culture.

Arise thanks everyone for their support at our successful Halloween Brunch fundraiser. We ran out of pancakes, delicious apple crisp, and most other food because of the great response from the community.

Stop by the store and check our website for updates on how our financial situation is progressing.
